Monthly Membership Meetings - Held on the 4th Thursday of each month except November and December unless otherwise noticed. Generally, these meetings are luncheons held in the Signal Hill Park Community Center, 1780 East Hill Street, Signal Hill (behind the Police Station & Library), from noon to 1:30 p.m., and include a presentation on a topic of interest. Occasionally, however, the Chamber will vary the time, location, and format of our monthly membership meetings. Notices of meetings will be posted on our website. E-mails notices are also be sent to our members, local officials, and other interested parties. Please RSVP to indicate if you plan on attending a meeting; members who RSVP before noon on the day before the meeting receive a discounted price on the cost of the luncheon.
Social Events - The Chamber holds an Annual Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament and other social events such as holiday parties, casino nights, theatre parties, harbor cruises, and pre-game sporting event parties, to provide opportunities for our members to have a good time while getting to know each other and members of the community.
Grand Openings and Ribbon Cuttings – The Chamber will welcome new businesses with Ribbon Cuttings at their Grand Openings, announcements on our website and e-mails to our members. We will also assist in making arrangements for your event to be attended by a local city official and covered by local newspapers.
Monthly Mixers - Held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 5-7 pm by our members or by the Chamber at local restaurants to provide more opportunities for our members to network. These mixers are a great way to showcase your business, products, and services, while networking and building business-to-business relationships and getting to know other members of our business community better. If you would like to host a mixer, please call John Elliot at (562) 773-1282 for more information. We can also assist in making arrangements for your event to be attended by a local city official and covered by local newspapers
Legislative Advocacy – The Chamber works closely with Federal, State, County and City elected officials representing Chamber members.
Free Member to Member Discount Program - Enroll in our program to increase business by offering discounts to other members.
Business Referrals - The Chamber actively sends business referrals to members.
Membership Plaque - New members receive a Membership Plaque providing recognition as a supporter of the Signal Hill business community
News, Membership Lists, Business Profiles, Recognition, and Advertising on the Chamber’s Website – Our website is still under construction. We will be adding pages to post information that impacts businesses, list our members, profile member businesses, recognize members, and provide members with opportunities to advertise their businesses.
